Area of Research:   Regulation of expansion of fibrous corona layer of kinetochores on un-attached kinetochores

My research study focuses on identification and characterization of kinetochore associated proteins in the regulation of fibrous corona expansion on un-attached kinetochores during early mitosis.

Area of Research: Regulation of protein complexes in centrosomal duplication

My research focus is to understand how several proteins associate or interact to form complexes and help mediate the duplication of centrosomes. I am specifically inclined to the kinase activities and site-specific phosphorylation of these proteins, which leads to the initiation of the formation of the daughter centriole.

Area of Research: Molecular understanding of ciliogenesis

Primary cilium is the tiny signalling hub of the cell and that’s what fascinates me. My works focus on the understanding of molecular regulations of ciliogenesis in mammalian cells especially the involvement of centrosomal proteins in the process.
